The Residency At Governor’s School West

Apply for The Residency with a proposal for an independent project.

Length:

All class periods from 7/13-7/17 (including T/Th long period)

To Consider:

What are you curious about? What feels urgent for you to spend time on? Why does this matter to you? How do you make it art? Find meaning. How can others see the meaning too?

Goal:

Learn and grow in your practice. Manage time effectively. Understand application logistics and language. 

Challenge yourself! Create something that shares your experience whether it’s a finished artwork or documentation of your creative process. 

Exhibition:

All students are expected to have something to share during the GSW Art Exhibition (installed 7/19). This could be performative, 2D, 3D, audio, video, or participatory. Alongside the work, artists will be expected to include an artist statement.
